"Lost and Found," finds a place at the Bargin Box. Bonnie Rodriquez and Elizabeth Chapin from Channel Islands National Park Service drop off a van load of "lost and found" items at the Bargin Box. We thank them so much for picking our charity to donate to. Remember all your donations go directly to our philanthropic children's programs here in Ventura County.

Eagle Scout Project

Assistance League School is grateful to Andrew Chang, Boy Scout from Troop 633. He is a sophomore at Simi High School. Andrew wanted to do something special for a school that might not have funds for extra projects. He chose Assistance League School in Oxnard because it is a non-profit preschool for children with special needs. He decided on a landscaping project for the children to enjoy when they were on the playground. He made planter boxes and planted drought resistant plants. Andrew has been working on this project for several months, raising the funds to cover the cost for the beautification project. The children will enjoy Andrew's generosity and kindness. Young men like Andrew show society the importance of caring and volunteering. The members of Assistance League of Ventura County know the importance of volunteerism. These members have funded the Assistance League School for fifty-five years. During these years, many students have overcome difficulties caused by special needs or learned strategies to be successful in the academic world. Thank you, Andrew, for making the children's playground extra special.
