On Friday, April 7, Walmart Ventura held their grand reopening and ribbon-cutting event. There were booths set up with vendors handing out giveaways, a DJ, a photo booth, balloons and even the Buena Band! Everyone there helped celebrate the remodel of the store. Amy Wagor, the Manager of the store, welcomed everyone and thanked them for their support. She also gave out three $1000 community grants of which Assistance League® of Ventura County (ALVC) was one of the recipients.
Several ALVC members showed up to help celebrate and accept the check, including Nila Arensberg, Pam Eichele, Wendy Eales, Teresa Porter, Cindy Daly, Susan Knupp, Martha Flournoy and Eileen Whalen. Thanks to Nila’s diligence, Walmart has given our Operation School Bell program several grants. We are very grateful for their support and were happy to help them celebrate their grand reopening!!
